RELAX EXERCISE
The be all and end all for good vision and maintaining your visual acuity is relaxation!
That’s why you should take breaks more often.
Because only relaxed eyes see well.
Chinese Acupressure
In the first video Leo Angart will explain how you can best do the exercise.
In the second video you can already participate. Myriel will show you how to do the Chinese acupressure massage.
After just a few minutes you will feel more alert, more relaxed and more refreshed.
How to do the acupressure excersise:
This exercise consists of 10 steps.
By applying pressure and massage movements at certain acupuncture points on the head, the energy flowing through your head and eyes will do so more freely after this exercise. Should you notice that some of these pressure points are sensitive, then this is an indication that the energy is not flowing freely at these particular energy points. During this exercise many acupuncture points are incorporated which have shown to be helpful when dealing with vision problems.
Do the exercise like this:
1. Place the tip of your thumb as close as possible to the inner corner of the eye and press upwards. This tender spot is an acupressure point. Now rotate three times counter clockwise from right to left to clear the area of tired energy, then rotate three times clockwise from left to right to re-energise. Alternatively, you can simply press lightly on the spot, then release pressure. Do this several times in a row – preferably with a steady rhythm.
2. Now use your thumb and index finger of one hand to grip the root of your nose, at the spot where your glasses would normally sit. Do three circular movements again – three counter clockwise and three clockwise – to clear the area of tired energy and then re-energise it again. Alternatively you can just press on the points several times, again preferably with a steady rhythm.
3. Now use three fingers on each hand, gently press on your cheekbones at the same level of your nostrils, and do three circular movements counter clockwise and clockwise. Alternatively you can just press on the points several times, again preferably with a steady rhythm.
4. Next press on several acupuncture points along the bone over your eyes. Begin at the inner corner of your eye, at the root of your nose, and work your way outwards along the bone towards the outer corner of the eye.
5. Next use four fingers of each hand and put them at the edge of the bone underneath your eyes.Press down and release several times, again with a steady rhythm.
6. Now use two fingers of each hand and place them on the outer corners of your eyes. Massage these points with circular movements, first counter clockwise, then clockwise.
7. Next, using the same two fingers of each hand, move them towards the hairline at the same level. Again, massage these points with circular movements, first three times counter clockwise, then three times clockwise. This way the points are re-energised.
8. Now spread your fingers and place them above your ears. Massage these four points with circular movements, first three times counter clockwise, then three times clockwise.
9. Now open your fingers like you would when shampooing and place them at your hairline. Start here and move your hands slowly across your scalp towards the back of your head. You can apply a bit of pressure.
10. Finally, place the index finger of each hand on the indentation at the back of your head, just where your neck muscles are attached to the skull. Again, massage with circular movements, first three times counter clockwise, then three times clockwise.
Do this exercise anytime you feel tired or listless, or drained of energy.
